On the second weekend of January 2019, a hackathon will take place in the offices of DIaLOGIKa in Saarbrücken-Dudweiler.
The aim of the hackathon is to design and implement apps and software projects that solve specific (social) problems during one weekend. There are no commercial interests; it’s all about the fun of problem solving and „hacking“.
Programming is a very powerful tool for social change and activism. Unfortunately, these possibilities are largely underestimated. We would like to change that.
In addition, a hackathon is also a great way to get to know people from the very diverse local IT scene, to network, or just to have fun and learn a few new things.
Last but not least, we hope to increase the general interest in IT topics, as they will decisively shape the future of our state and of our everyday life.
By the way, „hacking“ knows neither age nor gender. Please don’t let any outdated stereotypes prevent you from applying.
Application will be open starting mid of December on this page.
